The first studio opened in the former Silvercup Bakery in 1983, and has since established itself as the largest independent, full-service film and production facility in the northeastern United States, which you can visit with your car rental in New York City. There are now 13 shooting stages on the Main Lot, as well as roof and loft space.

There are commercials for Wendy’s, Old Navy, Victoria’s Secret, The Gap, Verizon, and much more. Feature films such as The Devil Wears Prada, Just My Luck, Gangs of New York, and Mickey Blue Eyes have been filmed here.

Visit Silvercup Studios

To visit Silvercup with your car rental in New York City is easy from anywhere in the area. If you take the Queensboro Bridge, enter the roadway and follow the signs to 21st Street and proceed to the traffic light at the bottom of the ramp. Make a right onto 21st Street, go one block, and make another right at Queens Plaza South. Go one block and make a right at 22nd Street. The entrance is on the right and parking lots on the left.

If you take the Queens-Midtown Tunnel with your car rental in New York City, stay in the right lane through the toll booths. Exit at the ramp that says 21st Street. Continue north until you get to Queens Plaza South and make a right, then another right on 22nd Street. The studios will be on the right, with parking on the left for your car rental in New York City.

Coming from Brooklyn with your car rental in New York City, take the Queens Expressway north to the McGuiness-Humbolt exit. Make a left at the bottom of the ramp onto McGuiness Avenue and go over the Pulaski Bridge and across Jackson Avenue. Go straight onto 11th Avenue and make a right when you reach Queens Plaza South. Turn right onto 22nd Street. The studios will be on the right.

From Long Island, take the Long Island Expressway west and get off at Van Dam Street (last exit before the tolls for the Midtown Tunnel). Make a right onto Van Dam Street and go to Thomson Avenue. Make a left onto Thomson and bear left as you go across the bridge. Make a right onto 44th Drive and continue straight across Jackson Avenue past the Citicorp tower until you reach 21st Street. Make a right, then another right when you get to Queens Plaza South. Make another right onto 22nd Street and Silvercup is on the right.

Silvercup is one of the biggest production facilities in the United States and is well-known for many of the commercials, TV shows, and movies that are produced here.
