The NYC Food Film Festival is celebrating its fifth annual this year from October 13 to October 16, 2011. The New York City Film Festival was created by Festival Director George Motz, who is the documentary filmmaker behind the award-winning Hamburger America film and book, and co-creator Harry Hawk. The Festival showcases documentaries, features and short films, as well as the world's favorite foods. At the 2009 NYC Food Film Festival, the film Know Your Mushrooms was screened and then followed by a 10-course mushroom-inspired tasting menu from Iron Chef Star Brad Farmerie.
