Another great exhibition that especially younger kids enjoy is the "Preschool Place". Kids can make anything they want with all of the foam bricks that are provided in this area for them. They can hoist the bricks with a crane or use the conveyor system to make whatever they desire. Also in this exhibition, kids can pick, plant and count fruits and vegetables in a multi-ethnic market. The Preschool Place is for children who are 6 years or younger. For people who are into sports, "The Sports Challenge" allows visitors to test their baseball, surfing, tennis and rock-climbing skills. This exhibition lets guests learn about friction, rotation, reaction, balance and much more at the 15 different sports stations. You can measure the height of your vertical leap or drive a racecar as fast as you can possibly go in this exhibition designed for the entire family. On your upcoming NYC car rental vacation, visit the New York Hall of Science for an educational and fun experience. The hall is open Mon-Thurs from 9:30 am-2:00 pm and Fridays from 9:30 am-5:00 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, the hall is open from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. For the months of July and August, the hours are slightly different. It is open Mon-Fri from 9:30 am -5:00 pm and from 10:00 am-6:00 pm on weekends. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult and the museum handicap accessible. Admission to the museum is $11 for an adult (18 and over) and $8 for children aged 2-17 and senior citizens over age 61.
