New York City Police Museum

The New York City Police Museum is a museum that celebrates the history and contributions of the New York City Police Department since it was established in 1845. Museum history

A new location

In January 2002, the museum re-opened at their new location at the Old Slip, which is closer to the South Street Seaport. Some of the new exhibits here include a 972 Plymouth Fury, a model of a jail cell, lock-picking tools that belonged to Willie Sutton, a Hall of Heroes that includes the name of every officer that was killed in the line of duty, and a large September 11 exhibit.
