Club history

The Montauk Club was founded in 1889 as a private club and has remained one since then. The Club House was designed by famous New York architect Francis H. Kimball, who was inspired by a palace on Venice's Grand Canal when building this structure. The building was created with Venetian gothic architecture, carved mahogany woodwork, and stained glass windows that are still here when you pass by with your New York car rental.
