Mario's Restaurant

Preparing good food runs in the Migliucci family, owners of Mario's Restaurant in the Bronx. The family history in the restaurant business actually began in Cairo where they opened the first Italian restaurant in Egypt. They eventually moved to America, and opened Mario's Restaurant in 1919. It was truly a family business. The patriarch of the family recalls that when he was a little boy he "had to stand on Coca-Cola boxes in the kitchen to make pizza" because he was too small to reach the counter otherwise.

Bronx car rental customers will be treated like family as they enjoy authentic Neopolitan cuisine in the same restaurant where an episode of The Sopranos was shot. Five generations of the Migliucci family have something to be proud of since Mario's Restaurant is the winner of America's Regional Classics 2000 James Beard/Bertolli Olive Oil Restaurant Award.
