Brooklyn lighthouses
The Coney Island (Nortons Point) Lighthouse is located on the southwestern shore of Long Island in the Sea Gate community, on the western tip of Coney Island, with your 15 passenger van rental. The original lighthouse lens from this lighthouse is on display at the South Street Seaport Museum.
Nassau lighthouses
North Hempstead has a few lighthouses that you can visit with your 15 passenger van rental. Stepping Stone Lighthouse is a small red brick building on an isolated island northwest of Kings Point, which marks the end of Long Island Sound. Execution Rock Lighthouse is off of Sands Point in Nassau County. It took on the name of the reef on which it was situated, called Execution Reef. It is said that it got the name because it "executed" so many ships, and many others were wrecked against the dangerous rock due to inadequate lighting and heavy ship traffic. There is also a lighthouse at Old Sands Point in Port Washington.
Suffolk County Lighthouses
Fire Island Lighthouse was built in 1826 on Fire Island, a barrier island between Great South Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse is situated on the east side of the island at Robert Moses State Park with your 15 passenger van rental. The North Dumpling Lighthouse is at Fishers Island Sound.

The Montauk Point Lighthouse was the first lighthouse constructed on Long Island that you can visit with your 15 passenger van rental. It was constructed on the south fork and was one of the first federally funded marine projects approved by George Washington in 1796. It was originally made 300 feet from the Atlantic Ocean, but today it is only 50 feet away. Gardeners Point Lighthouse is located at Gardeners Point. However, when you visit with your 15 passenger van rental, you won't be able to see the lighthouse remains, but the ruins of Fort Tyler are still here.
