The Imperial Theater is a Broadway theater on West 45th Street (George Abbott Way) in mid-town Manhattan. This theater can seat up to 1417 people for a show. Theater history

The Imperial Theater was the brainchild of the Shubert family, their fiftieth in New York. It was constructed to replace the out-of-date Lyric Theater. Built in 1923, it was designed by Herbert Krapp in his Adam-style. There are recessed ceiling and ornamental panels over a number of motifs.
