Where in New York is the industrial wasteland being turned into beautiful parkland? P.S. 1 is an internationally renowned museum that is devoted to contemporary art and is known for its avant-garde exhibits and alternative space movement. The museum works with the Museum of Modern Art, but has a completely different feel to it. It’s a little less structured, a little crazier. This museum was at one time a school. One of the things that you should check out is the roof, where you will find an unadvertised sculpture if you happen to go out for a smoke before heading back to your car rental in New York City.
