Hillwood Art Museum

The Hillwood Art Museum is a museum at Long Island University that you can visit when you are here with your 15 passenger van rental. They provide an environment that encourages to explore the world of visual arts in many areas. Several shows and performances are put on each year here.

They began collecting pieces in the early 1970s and have more than 650 works in their collection. Some of the art in their collections include Pre-Columbian artifacts, contemporary American prints, contemporary European prints, Asian art, African art, Persian bronze, Islamic glass, contemporary photography, and more.

When you are here with your van rental for 15 passengers, you will find the Hillwood Art Museum at the C.W. Post Campus on Long Island University in Brookville. They are open in the summer Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. In the fall, winter, and spring, they are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. To get here, take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 39 (Glen Cove Road North). Go north for 2 miles, turn right (east) on Northern Boulevard. The Hillwood Art Museum is located 2 miles east on the University Campus. You can follow the signs to the Museum or Hillwood Commons on campus.

Long Island University

Long Island University is a private university in New York. It was chartered in 1926 to provide "effective and moderately priced education" to all in the Brooklyn area. The university purchased a second location - a 123-acre estate, Hillwood, in Brookville, which was later renamed C.W. Post. These are the two campuses that make up Long Island University today, although there was a third campus from 1963 until 2006 in Southampton. When you are here with your rental van for 15 passengers, you can explore the C.W. Post campus. This is the larger of the two campuses and where the main offices are located. Here you will find the College of Information and Computer Science, Palmer School of Library and Information Science, School of Education, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Management, School of Health Professions and Nursing, and the School of Visual and Performing Arts. The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is located here, which puts on 70 performances in music, dance, and theater each season.

Student life

When you are here with your 15 passenger van rental, you will get a glimpse of student life here. Since they are only 45 minutes away from New York City, there are plenty of opportunities to take in the culture there. While on campus, there are several clubs and organizations that students can join on this diverse campus. The campus is often quiet on the weekends because many people come from Long Island, New York City, and the Tri-State Region. On campus, there are also a number of sports teams. C.W. Post is a Division II school. They have notable Lacrosse teams in particular. This campus is also the only college campus on Long Island that has an Equestrian Center for horseback riding.
