New York Football!

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

I am a casual Football fan, reading about the New York Giants and Jets each week on the pages of the New York and Daily News. I have watched the past four games; all New York Giant victories which have been very exciting to watch.

I had spent the day at our Allcar Rent A Car office on Utica Avenue as we are in the process of renovating the entire office. We have added a customer waiting room/office for our long term rental program, renovated the car rental customer bathroom as well as painted and placed a new floor in the lobby for the Utica Avenue location rent a car customers. We will be soon installing a flat screen monitor behind the car rental counter and replacing the exterior sign panels to reflect the current Blue and Yellow Allcar Rent A Car sign.

While working with the contractors, I was getting together some 15 passenger vans which we are donating to New York State Senator Kevin Parker to transport people to his tribute to Reverend Martin Luther King which Allcar Rent A Car proudly sponsors each year. In fact, I have been honored to address the large assembled crowd in prior years gatherings.

I was also helping our Allcar rent a car staff locate 15 passenger vans for use by Brooklyn Jewish Children Museum for a talent show they are holding for young children. Allcar Rent A Car is a proud sponsor of that event as well taking place at the New York Hilton.

I was sure to rush and wrap all this up by 430pm as I needed to get home and sit by the television and cheer for my New York Giants as they march on to Super bowl 46.

Running a car rental company in New York City is far different and challenging than running one anywhere but New York City. That said, when you get to be involved in a tribute to someone as special as Reverend Martin Luther King or help children, it makes the stress and challenge easier to bear.

I thank our New York City customers and staff for allowing us to be involved in such great organizations.
