This is one of the largest open spaces in Queens and is operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The park also has the largest pool in the city, which was used for the qualifying events of the 1936 and 1964 summer Olympics. The park also has bocce courts, six tennis courts, two playgrounds, and a running track. On Independence Day, the Queens Symphony Orchestra plays in the park during the fireworks show. This is a great place to enjoy some time outside during your trip. Perhaps come for a stroll before or after you eat to burn some calories.
